Shopping for a Memory Foam Wedge Pillow?
5 Reasons Buyers Pick This Firm 27° One
Written by the Couples Edit
Shopping for a memory foam wedge pillow? Pick one with dense foam that won't go flat, a base that won't slide, and a shape that does more than one job.
Because you know the story. You prop a wedge behind you to read. Twenty minutes later, you've slid halfway down the bed. Or the one you bought last spring now has a dip right where you sit. One Reddit user put it bluntly:
"cheaper foam wedges are much softer and completely useless"Shared on Reddit
And another Reddit user found out the hard way:
"it flattens as soon as I put my weight on it"Shared on Reddit
Here's the thing. You're not being picky. Most wedges are soft, made for one person lying still at night. You want a wedge you can lean on, lie on and move on. The wedge pillow that ends up in the closet is almost always the soft one.
So what should a good memory foam wedge pillow really do?
5 Reasons This Is the Wedge Memory Foam Pillow Buyers Keep
1. Dense Foam That Won't Go Flat.
This is the big one. The WildNightX Pillow is 60 kg/m³ memory foam. That's dense. It's rated for 260+ lbs, so it holds its shape instead of sinking into a dip.
Regular pillows can't do that. One Reddit user tried them all:
"We've tried our regular pillows, even our memory foam ones to try to find just the right angles but they always fall flat"Shared on Reddit
A high-density foam wedge pillow springs back every time. Same 27° slope on day one and day one hundred.
"[This pillow] is a game changer, and a welcomed addition to the bedroom it's not cheaply made and actually supports your body"
J.R. E.
But firm foam is no good if the whole thing slides down the bed, right?
2. A Grip Base That Stays Put.
Right. So the bottom is silicone. It grips the sheet, so the pillow doesn't creep away while you lean back to read.
It matters even more at night. In the bedroom, she moves and the pillow holds. No sliding, no stopping to pull it back, no losing the angle right when it starts to feel good.
"Using the pillow makes the angle feel natural and because I'm not moving around, I can concentrate on making the wife feel great and go longer as well."
Vince M.
And what can one wedge actually do?
3. One Wedge, Many Jobs.
Most wedge pillows do one thing. This one has a curved, chair-like shape with a small head pillow on top. So it does a lot.
Lean back on it to read. Lie on your stomach over it and scroll your phone. Rest on it after a long day. And at night, it lifts her hips to a steady 27°. One pillow wedge for your whole day, and your nights too.
"We are enjoying discovering the many useful ways to enhance our activity."

So how do you use a wedge pillow for sex, and is it really better?
4. Built for the Bedroom, Not Just for Sleep.
Here's how to use a wedge pillow for sex. Slide it under her hips. Let her lie back. The slope tilts her hips up to 27°, and everything lines up.
He goes deeper with less work. Her lower back rests on firm foam. His arms get a break. Her breath catches, and the angle doesn't slip. Sex coach Stella Harris told Bustle:
"A wedge under the hips can make sex more enjoyable for people with different degrees of mobility, and sometimes it makes new positions possible"Stella Harris, sex coach, in Bustle
A sleep wedge can't do this. It's a long, low slope built for one still body. A firm wedge sex pillow is built to hold while you move. This one works in 15+ positions. See the firm 27° wedge →
"My wife felt very comfortable using it. In fact, she became even more excited and enjoyed the experience more than we expected."

But how does it stack up against the big-name foam ramp?
5. More Wedge for About the Same Price, Plus a Gift.
The Liberator Wedge is a classic firm ramp, and its fans love the foam. It's $120. But it's a plain ramp, 7 inches tall, with no head pillow and no weight rating listed.
The WildNightX Pillow is $124.95 today. It stands 11.8 inches tall, it's rated for 260+ lbs, and its linen cover zips off for the washer. A FREE Blindfold comes in every box.
So what should a good memory foam wedge pillow do? Stay firm. Stay put. Do more than one job. This one does all three, and it's backed by the WildNightX 30-Day Guarantee.
"the angle is just right! We use this pillow far more frequently than I expected. We are both very pleased!"

To Be Fair: Where It Falls Short
No pillow is perfect, and this one isn't either. It comes in one size and one color (gray). The cover is only lightly water-resistant, so lay a towel down on messy nights. The cover goes in the washer, but the foam core doesn't. And the 30-Day Guarantee is shorter than some brands advertise, so read the return policy before you order.

Memory Foam Wedge Pillow Questions
Is a wedge memory foam pillow better than regular foam?
It depends on how dense the foam is, not the name. Soft foam of any kind sinks under weight. This one is 60 kg/m³ memory foam rated for 260+ lbs, so it stays firm.
What makes a high-density foam wedge pillow worth it?
It keeps its slope. A soft pillow wedge feels nice at first, then gets a dip where you sit. Dense foam springs back, so the angle stays the same.
How do we start with a foam wedge for sex?
Slide it under her hips and let her lie back, so the slope tilts her hips up. Start with a position you already like, like missionary. The grip base keeps it in place while you move.
Can I read in bed with it?
Yes. Set it against the headboard and lean back on its curved shape, with the small head pillow behind your neck. The grip base keeps it from sliding down.
Can I sleep on it all night?
It can prop you up while you rest, but we make no health claims. If you need to sleep raised for reflux or snoring, buy a sleep wedge and talk to your doctor.
Are wedge foam pillows easy to clean?
Many have a cover that comes off. On this one, the linen cover zips off and goes in the washer. The foam inside stays out of the wash.
